Greetings!

Out of all the things I have been called throughout my life, I think "musician" is right up there with "the odd one" "two sticks short of a bundle" and "not personally in attendance" as far as being accurate. Of course that all goes right along with "He is one of those creative people" or "Don't expect him to make any sense in a normal conversation . . . " well you get the idea.

I hope you will enjoy this section of the site. I will include different samplings of music, including worship music, albums I have recorded, all the way to some music written and recorded for film and commercial projects.

For all the worship music I give my permission for any church to use the songs in whatever way will glorify God, and promote His purposes. I only ask that you report to CCLI, and occasionally jot me a quick email and let mw know how the songs are being used. That as much as anything is a great encouragement to me. I do accept cash donations, of course to help feed my hungry children, but none is ever required. The music for films and commercials, well that of course is a different story altogether. That is not covered in this permission statement.

I started playing music when I was seven, and began writing music around ten. I have written some 2000 worship songs through the years, and countless other pieces from rock and roll songs, to orchestral and choral works. I love all styles of music, and lyrical formats. My only dislike in the art world really is blatantly pornographic material or hate filled anything. I have no patience for the expression of hatred or discrimination in any form, including the arts.

Most every week at Simi Prez (the church I worked at from 1984 to 2004) The pastor would send me sermon notes or a manuscript sometime before the end of the week, for which I would then write a special song, or what we called a "tag", This album is a collection of a couple years worth of the "tags" that seemed more memorable, or more standout. Deciding what songs to put on any of our albums was always a subjective thing, but if we were to record every one we would have had to release five albums a year. These recordings were done with little or no budget, and wonderfully produced by John Luis, my long time friend and producer. He worked miracles with a shoestring buydget each time.

If you would like a CD of this album please send me an email at the mail link button at the top of each page, and I will send you the address to mail a check etc. I will add a paypal or credit card option at some point.

Just for fun.

This album is also a collection of a few of the specials or "tags" that I wrote for use in worship and to follow a specific sermon. This collection is from 1995. These songs, as most of our recordings were tracked live in worship, and contains quite a few guest musicians, which are listed below. This is a period where we had a bit of an R&B feel, and used a few guest horn players as well. On the closing track, doing the BU vocals are Linda and Alfred McCrary, who have toured with a lot of artists, including Michael Jackson.
